Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this and please check out my other posts if you want. So the Japenese soundtrack wins, but don’t worry, I Still like the United States soundtrack, but the JP soundtrack suits my musical tastes more. you tend to appreciate it even more since it was composed in less than a month. ago it was meant to be modeled after the most popular genres of the time, many of which were gritty and edgy. So overall, I like both soundtracks, but In the end, the points are… 5 4 Sonic the Hedgehog Fighting game Gaming 4 comments Best Add a Comment GigglyMan 2 yr. Listen to Sonic the Hedgehog CD (Original Soundtrack 20th Anniversary Edition) by Various Artists on Apple Music. Finally the US final boss theme is just a more intense version of the regular boss theme so you can guess who gets the point there. EVERY track on the US version of CD stinks worse than a skunk with BO. He wouldnt know how to right music if it came up and bit his face. Just what the hell were SEGA US thinking in choosing Spencer Nielsen to right the soundtrack. ![]() The regular boss theme is better in JP because it is more enjoyable to hear. The US soundtrack is the second worst (only beaten by Generations) in Sonic history. MM is JP for present and good future because they suit the level more, but bad future is more enjoyable to hear in US. SS is JP for all three because US is boring. WW is US for all three because JP is boring. The good future is great for both soundtracks but US contains lyrics that sound to me like “share your (I’m not gonna say it because Its innapropriate, but is offensive to boys, including me).” The bad future goes to the JP because the US is just the good future with the lyrics taken out. QQ is a mine, which the JP present does good at, but liking Rock music more, I have to prefer US. TT bad future is polluted, which again JP failed to provide the correct atmosphere. TT good future has been turned into a power plant, which both soundtracks do a good job of fitting. TT Present US has a funky beat and cool groove, but has nothing to do with being underwater, while the ancient, calm, and beautiful JP song does suit one. CC is Funky and bouncy and Techno style in JP, which suits a carnival while US is Heavy Metal, which is my favorite genre of music, but does not suit the level except bad future where JP failed to provide the message that you screwed up. Personally, I think the JP is better for all except bad future, where JP is too happy, but US is more depressing and atmospheric. PP is more tropical amd suitable for the level in the US, but more energetic and kind of tropical in the JP. I always chose the JP/EU soundtrack as the US. The past music is the same for both soundtracks (probably because they’re in a different format then the other songs.) The levels are Palmtree Panic (PP), Collision Chaos (CC), Tidal Tempest (TT), Quartz Quadrant (QQ), Wacky Workbench (WW), Stardust Speedway (SS), and Metallic Madness (MM). Sonic Adventure started it all for me and since then Ive found a lot of Sonic games I enjoy, this included. Now before i get into this, I want to say each level has four timezones, past, present, good future, and bad future. The 2011 remaster comes with the option to choose which one you want, but which one do I prefer? Honestly I like both a lot, so I can’t judge them easily, but let’s look at some things I like about each. There were two different soundtracks, one for Japenese releases and one for US releases. But if you played this game you would know one thing. Sonic CD will now restart with the Japanese soundtrack.Ah, Sonic CD, released in 1994 for the Sega CD, but rereleased in 2011 for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. On a game controller, this can be done using both the left directional stick and the D-Pad.Įnter here by pressing either Enter or A, depending on your controls. On the keyboard, this can be done by pressing the right arrow key. ![]() You’ll see some text underneath the logo that says “GAME START”. Once you’re at the Sonic CD title screen, press any button. In order to change the soundtrack in Anniversary Mode, the first thing you’ll want to do is start up the game. In this guide, I’ll be showing you how to switch between the two. I’ve seen a lot of people wanting to use the game’s Japanese OST instead. The Sonic Origins version of Sonic CD defaults to using the US version of the game’s soundtrack (at least in North America). This guide will show you how to change the music in Sonic CD to the game’s Japanese OST
